The Thomson Ecology marine division is an environmental consultancy specialising in marine and estuarine biological surveys. Since our establishment in 1985, as Unicomarine, we have grown to become one of the largest and most experienced in the UK.
Now, as part of Thomson Ecology, the UK's leading ecology specialist, we are working with our expert freshwater and terrestrial colleagues on major multi-disciplinary projects, in particular those related to renewable energy and coastal regeneration and development.
We are also involved in projects monitoring the aquatic environment, from desk studies and survey design to sample analysis and reporting.
We have excellent computer facilities with high level data handling and analytical packages, including UNICORN and TREx (see software page) and sophisticated GIS. We are able to offer a high quality and flexible service for the management of the aquatic environment, from the shore to deep sea, both in British waters and overseas.
